Hey there, friend! I hope you’re having a great day thus far!

Remember the last big rain storm we had? Ever wonder where all the extra rain water goes?⁣ ⁣ 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩. Right into the storm drains and into the beautiful waters and environment we love.⁣ ⁣ This past week I had the opportunity to chat with Save The Bay expert, David Prescott, @coastkeeperri, all about how we can do our part (right from our own yard) and help decrease the amount of trash, oil, gas and everything else that gets tossed into our ocean that we love!

Fascinating, right?!

⁣ RAIN GARDENS:

Rain gardens are such a passion of David’s and might be really helpful (and coastal looking) for your yard in Narragansett! ⁣ ⁣ If you find your yard flooding after each rain or noticing runoff water going right into the street from your driveway or yard, this 7 minute video on all things Rain Gardens will give you the perfect DIY if you’re looking for a fun outdoor project (or if you’re local, you can hire David of course!).

Thank you so much, David, for you time today and sharing your expertise! Be sure to keep a lookout for David’s Podcast all about rain gardens on the #whatsgoodingansett podcast!

WAYS TO STAY IN TOUCH:

  • Subscribe to the “What’s Good In Gansett” Podcast on iTunes! Every week we will be chatting with local experts/businesses and chatting about topics that are Narragansett focused and MUST knows!
  • Prefer video sometimes? Me too! Head on over to my Narragansett Real Estate Youtube channel where you will get the inside tour on Narragansett listings, info and businesses!

Warm regards,

Kaitlyn
